Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said he plans to discuss further tactics of negotiations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Thursday.
"We will build together with him [Cavusoglu] the further logic of the process. I have always confirmed that I am ready to negotiate at the level of the [Russian and Ukrainian] foreign ministers, provided, of course, that Mr. Lavrov is ready for a substantive discussion of issues and solutions to specific problems," the Ukrinform news agency quoted Kuleba as saying.
On Wednesday, Cavusoglu told a press conference in Moscow following talks with Lavrov that the bloodshed in Ukraine must end. The Turkish minister said Ankara continues to believe in a diplomatic solution to the situation in Ukraine. According to him, Turkey supports the Russian-Ukrainian talks in Belarus and wants them to bring results.
The first round of talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations was held on February 28 in the Gomel region of Belarus, the meeting lasted five hours. Then the parties met in Belovezhskaya Pushcha on March 3 and in Brest Oblast on March 7. March 10, Foreign Ministers of Russia and Ukraine Sergey Lavrov and Dmytro Kuleba met on the margins of a diplomatic forum in Antalya.
