Supporters of the radical movement Taliban (banned in Russia, recognized as a terrorist organization) have reportedly relocated several tanks to border regions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Aamaj News reports.
A video, purportedly shared by a Taliban sympathizer, captures the moment one of these armored vehicles is being transported. However, Taliban officials have refrained from providing any comments on this development as of yet.
In the late hours of March 18, the Pakistani Air Force conducted airstrikes on the settlements of Laman (in Paktika Province) and Pasa Mella (in Khost Province), situated near the border shared by the two countries. Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban government, stated that the raids resulted in the deaths of at least eight individuals, including three children.
In response to militants' assault on a Pakistani military base in Mir Ali, located in the border district of North Waziristan (in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province) on March 16, which claimed the lives of seven servicemen, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari has announced the potentiality of launching airstrikes against the bases of the radical group Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan on Afghan territory.
