The work on the Russia-Africa summit is in an active stage and it has not been canceled, Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, told TASS on Wednesday.
"We are actively working on its preparation," the diplomat said in response to a related question. - "The dates of the summit have not been set yet".
The first Russia-Africa summit was held in Sochi on October 23-24, 2019, co-chaired by Russian and Egyptian presidents Vladimir Putin and Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. The second summit is scheduled for the fall of 2022.
