Omani Foreign Minister: Middle East Conflict Is Not Iran's Fault

23 March

The escalation of the conflict in the Middle East is not the fault of Iran, according to Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi. The minister emphasized that the ongoing hostilities have already triggered massive economic repercussions.

"Whatever your view of Iran, this war is not of their making. This is already causing widespread economic problems and I fear they promise to get much worse if the war continues," Albusaidi wrote in a post on X.

The minister added that the Sultanate is "working intensively to put in place safe passage arrangements for the Strait of Hormuz."
