The honorary status was awarded to the capital of Tatarstan at the 13th Conference of Ministers of Culture of Islamic Countries for Education, Science, and Culture, held in February in Saudi Arabia. With this status, Kazan becomes not only the pride of Russia but also an important attraction for Muslims worldwide. Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, the city serves as an example of the harmonious coexistence of Islamic and Orthodox traditions.

Currently, a large-scale program is being prepared, lasting throughout the year and including flagship events such as the International Economic Forum “Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum” and the Kazan International Film Festival, among many others.
