More than 3,000 tents and temporary shelters have been erected by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in Gaza City and its surrounding areas to accommodate Palestinians returning to the northern part of the enclave. This was announced in a statement posted on the organization's X  account.

According to the PRCS, the camps are being established to provide urgent assistance to Palestinians amid the catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza. “In northern Gaza, we have set up and distributed 1,490 tents, while another 1,600 temporary shelters have been built in areas around the city,” the statement reads.

The organization also noted that in the coming days, camps will be established in the southern part of the enclave, specifically in the city of Rafah.
