The issue of partner financing was a key topic of discussion at the BRICS International Municipal Forum, held from October 29-31, 2025, in Saint-Petersburg.
The Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World” was represented by Marat Gatin, Assistant to the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan and Deputy Chairman of the Group. During the “Partner Financing” session, he detailed the Group's work, including its efforts to develop mechanisms and instruments for Islamic fintech and the creation of a dedicated international investment platform.
Fellow Group member Marat Khafizov, founder of the IT Corporation “Universal Blockchain,” shared his experience in developing the BRICS International Platform and establishing partner financing ties with nations of the Islamic world.
Session participants paid particular attention to the potential of partner financing as an alternative economic model based on the principles of equitable risk, profit, and responsibility sharing. The adoption of such approaches, it was noted, could foster a resilient investment ecosystem and spur the development of joint projects across the BRICS community.
