President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov plans to visit the Russian Federation on May 8-9. A source in the administration of the Kyrgyz head of state told TASS on Monday.
"The president plans to visit the capital of the Russian Federation on May 8-9, 2023," the source said.
According to him, Zhaparov is expected to take part in Victory Day celebrations in Moscow and hold a number of meetings, including at the highest level.
The press service of the Kyrgyz president neither confirmed, nor denied the fact of his upcoming visit to Russia, recommending to wait for "official reports" on this topic.
On March 29, 2023, Zhaparov met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk in Bishkek and announced that he would be visiting Moscow.
According to the press service of the president of Kyrgyzstan, Overchuk noted that the republic and Russia "are united by partnership and the trusting nature of relations, and the expected official visit of Sadyr Zhaparov to Russia will serve to bring the two countries even closer together."
