A delegation of about 150 people from Uganda led by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni plans to attend the second Russia-Africa summit and economic forum in St. Petersburg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the republic to Russia Moses Kizige Kawaaluuko told TASS on Thursday during his trip to Karelia.
"Yes, we have already decided on a possible place where he will stay. He will have a very large delegation, about 150 people, including ministers, deputies, representatives of the chamber of commerce and industry. We think that all the important people in Uganda will come to this summit, as they did in Sochi," Kizige said when asked if the Ugandan president plans to attend the summit.
The second Russia-Africa Summit and Economic Forum is scheduled for July 26-29 in St. Petersburg. The first event was held Oct. 22-24, 2019, in Sochi under the slogan "For Peace, Security and Development."
