Putin and Mirziyoyev Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan reaffirmed their commitment to the further development of strategic partnership and alliance between their countries during a recent telephone conversation, the Kremlin press service reported.

 

The statement highlighted, "Both sides confirmed their mutual intent for the progressive development of Russian-Uzbekistan relations of strategic partnership and alliance."

 

Sherzod Asadov, the spokesman for President Mirziyoyev, added that the leaders discussed "issues of further deepening Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance." At the beginning of the call, President Putin congratulated President Mirziyoyev on his birthday, wishing him good health, prosperity, and great success, Asadov noted on his Telegram channel.
