Putin Thanks Tajik President for Hospitality Following Dushanbe Visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his gratitude to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon for the warm reception during his recent state visit to Dushanbe in a phone call, the Kremlin press service reported.

 

“During the telephone conversation, President Vladimir Putin thanked President Emomali Rahmon for the hospitality and warm welcome during the state visit to Tajikistan,” the statement read. Putin also noted the excellent organization of both the second Russia-Central Asia summit and the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting held in Dushanbe.

 

The Kremlin added that the package of documents signed by Russia and Tajikistan during the visit will provide fresh momentum for further developing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
