Russian President Vladimir Putin will travel to Turkmenistan at the invitation of his Turkmen counterpart, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to participate in a forum for the International Year of Peace and Trust, Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov told a briefing.
“Our president is scheduled to take part in the International Year of Peace and Trust forum in Turkmenistan on December 13,” the Kremlin representative stated. “This forum and the visit overall are dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.”
Ushakov added, “The Turkmen president specifically asked that our president attend.”
