Qatar has denounced Israel's continued violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani stating that "what has occurred in Gaza over the past two years amounts to genocide."
Addressing the opening session of the Advisory Council, the Qatari leader expressed regret that "the international community has failed to uphold international law when it comes to the suffering of our Palestinian brothers and sisters."
Sheikh Tamim condemned "all of Israel's crimes in Palestine, particularly the transformation of Gaza into an uninhabitable territory, ongoing violations of the ceasefire, and the expansion of settlement activities in the West Bank."
