The Roscongress Foundation is advancing cooperation with 229 international economic partners from 90 countries, according to Russian Presidential Advisor Anton Kobyakov.
Speaking at a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony between the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Roscongress in Beijing, Kobyakov highlighted that "SCO member states' leaders have authorized their Secretariat and Roscongress to sign this memorandum. Established by President Vladimir Putin's decision in 2007, Roscongress has become Russia's largest organizer of domestic and international congresses, exhibitions, business forums, social initiatives, youth events, sports competitions, and cultural programs."
The presidential advisor noted the foundation's "comprehensive collaboration with over 229 international economic partners, industrial and entrepreneurial associations, financial institutions, and trade organizations across 90 countries worldwide."
Kobyakov expressed confidence that the partnership between Roscongress and the SCO would enhance international communication platforms and stimulate interstate cooperation among member nations. He emphasized that the SCO's commitment to constructive philosophy, openness, equality, and mutual respect continues to attract growing numbers of countries from the global majority.
"The impressive composition of participants spans from Southeast Asia to the Middle East and Europe. The Tianjin summit clearly demonstrated the organization's broad capabilities and substantial political, economic, human, and civilizational potential," Kobyakov stated. "Special attention should be paid to international positioning, where congress diplomacy, forum organization, and strengthening personal contacts can serve as important tools."
Reflecting on the SCO's origins, the presidential advisor recalled that Russia, China, and Central Asian nations stood at the organization's foundation in the early 21st century. He emphasized the SCO's "key role in shaping the Eurasian security architecture, working alongside other regional organizations like the EAEU, CSTO, CIS, and ASEAN as the political and economic foundation for Greater Eurasia."
As the SCO approaches its 25th anniversary, Kobyakov described it as "a successfully developing multilateral organization addressing the broadest spectrum of international issues—from regional security and trade development to promoting cultural and humanitarian ties."
