Rosoboronexport (part of Rostec State Corporation) will present the latest Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at UMEX 2022, which will take place February 21-23 in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates), Rosoboronexport's press service said on Monday.
"Today Rosoboronexport successfully promotes the Orlan-10E and Orion-E reconnaissance and reconnaissance strike drones and the Cub-E kamikaze UAVs for export and is also preparing to launch a large line of vehicles: ultralight, heavy strike [UAVs], helicopter-type drones and multirotor ones to the foreign market. We will present products of Russian enterprises at UMEX 2022 specialized exhibition," the press service quoted Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.
According to him, presentations and negotiations on cooperation in this field will be held at the exhibition with representatives of the UAE and other countries of the Middle East region. UAVs are one of the most promising products in the Middle East, Mikheyev added.
"Along with the growing demand for unmanned aerial vehicles, there is an increased focus on UAV detection and suppression systems. These products are especially relevant in the Middle East region, where terrorist attacks using drones periodically occur," noted the head of the special exporting company.
He reminded that Rosoboronexport offers its partners a wide range of equipment for law enforcement agencies and military units as well as private companies engaged in protection of infrastructure facilities, oil and gas companies and strategically important organizations.
