Russia and Belarus Voice Hope for Stabilization in Iran

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Belarusian counterpart Maksim Ryzhenkov said they hope the situation in Iran will stabilize as soon as possible, Belarus’s Foreign Ministry told TASS.

The remarks followed a phone call between Ryzhenkov and Lavrov, during which they discussed developments in Venezuela and Iran, according to the Belarusian side.

Belarus’s Foreign Ministry said the two ministers stressed that foreign interference in other countries’ internal affairs is unacceptable and expressed hope for a swift resolution of the situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

They also reviewed bilateral matters, including the schedule of upcoming meetings and events at senior and top levels, the ministry added.
