Russia boosted pipeline gas supplies to Turkey by 18% year-on-year during January-August 2025, reaching approximately 14.6 billion cubic meters, according to TASS calculations based on data from Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).
The data shows Turkey imported 1.84 billion cubic meters of Russian gas in August alone through the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines.
Overall pipeline deliveries for the eight-month period reached roughly 14.6 billion cubic meters. When including LNG shipments (which haven't occurred in 2025), total Russian gas supplies to Turkey still showed a 15% increase during this period.
This growth continues an upward trend from 2024, when Russia's pipeline gas exports to Turkey rose 2.6% to just over 21 billion cubic meters. Combined pipeline and LNG deliveries last year totaled more than 21.5 billion cubic meters.
