28 February

Russia is working on visa-free arrangements with several countries, with Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Myanmar at the forefront of these negotiations. Dmitry Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, told TASS during the Russia International Exhibition and Forum.

"We're in discussions with numerous countries, and I can highlight those where progress is most advanced. These include nations from the Middle East and Southeast Asia: Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Myanmar—our longstanding and valued partner," Vakhrukov stated.

The deputy minister emphasized that these five countries are currently the top priority for visa abolition efforts. He also mentioned the launch of a group visa-free tour exchange between Russia, China, and Iran last year as a notable development.
