Russia, together with its allies and partners, is engaged in a struggle for the future of all humanity, Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Yerkhov stated during a ceremony at the Russian diplomatic mission in Ankara on the occasion of Diplomatic Workers' Day.
"Our homeland, our country, alongside its allies, partners, and friends, is waging a challenging struggle. It is a fight for the bright future of all humanity. This is no exaggeration. In this battle, the foreign policy front plays a crucial role," Yerkhov emphasized.
He noted that every diplomat working in their respective field contributes significantly to this common cause.
As part of the ceremony, the leadership of the Russian diplomatic mission in Ankara, representatives of CIS embassies, and invited Turkish diplomats honored the memory of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrei Karlov, who was assassinated on December 19, 2016. They laid flowers at a bust of Karlov, located on the embassy grounds.
