On March 28-29, Russian Ambassador at Large Pavel Knyazev held consultations with Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov. According to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, a key topic discussed was identifying opportunities for Russia and Azerbaijan to collaborate within international platforms and institutions.
In addition to meeting with Sharifov, Knyazev also held talks with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and Presidential Foreign Policy Advisor Hikmet Hajiyev during his time in Baku.
The Russian statement noted that "the contacts enabled discussion on current issues of interaction at the international level."
