The Ministry of Construction Industry of Russia will share its experience in restoring and building houses and creating a comfortable urban environment with Syrian authorities. Russian specialists will pass on various typical projects to their colleagues from Syria,  Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Nikita Stasishin told on Wednesday.

"We have already gained vast experience in creating networks, in terms of design and estimate documentation, everything that our friends from Syria won't have to spend time on. [They will be able] to take ready-made projects, apply them to specific sites, create exactly in accordance with those international standards, without increasing the cost per square meter, optimizing as much as possible," Stasishin told journalists at the International Conference on Refugee Return to Syria.

At the same time, he explained that a return to normal life is impossible without understanding the terms of rebuilding houses, creating new complexes, restoring territories and building infrastructure - kindergartens, schools, sports grounds, roads and main communications networks.

The main difference between the houses to be built and reconstructed in Syria, according to Stasishin, is that large families with many children live in apartments there.

The Deputy Minister noted that the emphasis would not be on speedy construction.

"Quantity today is impossible without quality. It is one thing to "plug the holes", which are directly hot, to restore what is. But we must look to the future and development with our colleagues from Syria. Because sometimes it is easier to start restoring something with quality, so that in the end all this will lead to economic recovery," he said.
