Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Borisenko and Jordan's Ambassador to Moscow, Khaled Shawabkeh, met to discuss the progression of bilateral relations and the broader situation in the Middle East, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"During the conversation, the sides reviewed current issues regarding the traditionally friendly Russian-Jordanian relations, as well as the evolving situation in the Middle East," the ministry noted.
The meeting was held at the request of the Jordanian diplomat.
