22 March

True Gamers, an international network of esports clubs founded by Russians, is planning to purchase an island near Abu Dhabi and transform it into a hub for esports activities. According to True Gamers, investments in the ambitious project, named eSports Island, will exceed $280 million.

The project will involve collaboration with some of the world's top esports teams, including Team Spirit, Virtus.pro, and Team BetBoom. eSports Island will feature a state-of-the-art training facility for gamers, a luxury hotel, the Digital Tower business center, and a cutting-edge arena for hosting major events. True Gamers anticipates that the project will generate returns within a decade.

While True Gamers has secured partnerships with several significant entities, specific details have not yet been disclosed. The investment will cover all aspects of the island's development, from acquiring the land to building the necessary infrastructure and implementing unique experiences, such as skydiving check-ins at the hotel.

"This project ranks among the largest ventures within the entertainment industry for Russian companies and aligns with True Gamers' analytical projections for the growth of the gaming sector in the UAE," stated the company.
