Russian Federation Transfers 28 Vehicles for Drug Control Service of Kyrgyzstan

29 January

A ceremony was held in Bishkek, where Russia handed over 28 cars intended for the service of combating drug trafficking to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan. The cars were provided within the framework of an agreement signed earlier between the law enforcement agencies of the two states on financial and logistical assistance.

The agreement stipulates the provision of gratuitous support to Kyrgyzstan from the Russian Federation in the amount of 627 million rubles during 2024-2025.

The ceremony was attended by Russian Ambassador to the republic Nikolai Udovichenko and the head of the Kyrgyz government Akylbek Zhaparov, who thanked Moscow for the material assistance. Zhaparov assured that the effectiveness of the national service's work to combat drug trafficking will now significantly increase.

"We must all fight together against the spread of drugs for the good of our peoples," Zhaparov noted. He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is confident in the importance of regional cooperation in all areas for the sake of strengthening stability and peace.
