Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the Russian military department is set up for the dynamic development of military and technical cooperation (MTC) with Saudi Arabia.
"We are set for the progressive development of bilateral cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres on the entire spectrum of issues of mutual interest," Shoigu said at a meeting with Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khaled bin Salman Al Saud on Monday.
He thanked Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khaled bin Salman for attending the 7th Army-2021 International Military and Technical Forum.
"On its platforms, you will be able to get acquainted with the latest Russian samples, including those that have proved themselves well in Syria," Shoigu said. "We consider your personal participation in the forum as confirmation of Saudi Arabia's course for further strengthening of cooperation with Russia," the Russian defense minister said.
He stressed that the constructive dialogue between our military departments is facilitated by the trusting and respectful relations between the heads of the two states.
In the presence of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin and Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khaled bin Salman signed an agreement between the government of the Russian Federation and the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on military cooperation.
