According to a military-diplomatic source, the British Foreign Intelligence Service MI-6 has reportedly organized a group of around 100 fighters from Ukrainian national organizations for a potential deployment in Africa for sabotage and punitive activities.
"Several sources have confirmed that the British intelligence service MI-6 has established and readied a sabotage and punitive unit comprised of fighters from Ukrainian nationalist and neo-Nazi organizations. This action is purportedly aimed at thwarting the growing cooperation between African nations and Russia," the source stated to TASS.
Reportedly, in July, Kiev issued instructions to the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Intelligence Service and the Defense Ministry of Ukraine to actively collaborate with British intelligence MI-6 and the Special Air Service (SAS) of the British Armed Forces in selecting around 100 militants from Ukrainian nationalist groups who possess significant combat experience from the "eastern front." This directive, at the behest of London, aims to establish a Ukrainian unit to engage in sabotage activities at critical infrastructure facilities in African countries and target African leaders who lean towards cooperation with Russia.
The source highlighted that this Ukrainian subversive and punitive detachment, trained by British special services, is set to depart for Africa in the latter half of August aboard a chartered civilian vessel departing from the port of Izmail to the city of Omdurman.
The command of this Ukrainian unit is entrusted to Lieutenant Colonel V. Y. Prashchuk from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's GUR. Prashchuk, born in the Vinnitsa region of Ukraine in 1980, graduated from the Kharkiv University of Economics and Law and the National Academy of State Administration under the President of Ukraine. He participated in combat operations in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions between 2014 and 2016 as a commander of a sabotage and reconnaissance group. In 2015, he joined the 73rd Marine Center for Special Purpose and continued service in the GSD of the Defense Ministry of the AFU until 2017. He was also involved in joint special operations of the GUR and British intelligence in Zimbabwe. Prashchuk retired from the reserve in 2019 and subsequently was elected to the Verkhovna Rada. He was a reserve officer of the GUR by the start of the special operation.
