Tajikistan Stands Against Terrorism

25 March

The government of Tajikistan stands firmly against terrorism in all its forms and is prepared to collaborate with Russia and the international community in combating this scourge. Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda conveyed this sentiment in a message of condolence inscribed in the book opened at the Russian embassy in Dushanbe following the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.

"Tajikistan vehemently opposes international terrorism in all its manifestations and remains committed to resolutely combatting this menace alongside Russia and the global community," the entry states.

The prime minister also extended condolences on behalf of the Tajik government to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery to those injured. He underscored the shared grief of Tajikistan's people with the citizens of Russia, denouncing the terrorist act as heinous. Following this, Rasulzoda held discussions with Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Semyon Grigoriev.

The terrorist attack near Moscow was swiftly condemned by Tajik authorities, as well as by public organizations within the republic and abroad. The Tajik embassy in Moscow expressed solidarity with the Russian people in their time of mourning. In Dushanbe, a memorial emerged near the Russian diplomatic mission after the attack, where hundreds of Russian and Tajik citizens, including representatives from universities, public organizations, commercial entities, and government bodies, gathered over two days to pay their respects and lay flowers.
