On November 12-13, the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan in Muscat took part in the Russia-Oman International Business Forum. The delegation was headed by Marat Gatin, Deputy Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World”, Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan.

During his speech at the panel session "Russia - Oman: unlocking the potential of trade, economic and investment cooperation", Marat Gatin told the forum participants about the activities of the GSV, which today acts as an international public platform in the field of public diplomacy for the exchange of views with leaders of international Muslim public and religious associations, heads of leading analytical, scientific and humanitarian organizations, foundations, universities of the OIC countries.
On the sidelines of the forum, the Tatarstan delegation held a number of bilateral meetings with Omani partners related to investments, construction, and urban planning. An important part of the meetings on the sidelines of the forum was the discussion with Omani colleagues on the development of partnership financing projects in Russia.
The Russian delegation at the forum was headed by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. In his speech, he spoke about the International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World": KazanForum, which has received federally importance. Khusnullin noted that KazanForum is the largest platform for dialogue between Russia and the Islamic world, a growth point for new investment projects.
As part of a business trip to Oman, Marat Gatin, Deputy Chairman of the Group of Strategic Vision “Russia – Islamic World”, Assistant to the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, met with Habib al-Riyami, a member of the Group from Oman, Chairman of the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science.
Gatin and al-Riyami discussed cooperation between Russia and Oman within the framework of the GSV activities, as well as the implementation of joint projects planned for 2026.
