Syria is actively involved to attract Russian tourists to the country. The Minister of Tourism of the Arab Republic Muhammad Rami Radwan Martini said in an interview with journalists.
According to him the most promising direction in this sense is the religious tourism. In particular, such places as Maaloula, Saidnaya, Aleppo, Damascus may be interesting for Russians.
The second direction is the development of the coastal infrastructure, in which, by the way, Russian capital already takes part.
"Our participation is planned - the Ministry of Tourism of Syria and travel companies - in the exhibition in Moscow. And at this exhibition we will present videos, booklets and other materials about Syrian attractions that we offer to visit", the Minister said.
It is known that, today, in order to get from Russia to the Arab Republic it's enough to get the airplane ticket - there are air flights twice a week from Moscow to Damascus.
