The visa regime has been abolished by Russia and Costa Rica

On May 25th, an agreement between the Governments of Russia and the Republic of Costa Rica “there is an exemption from visas for mutual travel of citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of the Republic of Costa Rica” comes into force, which was signed on May 3rd, 2018 in San Jose and May 28th, 2018 in Moscow.

 

 


According to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, in accordance with the agreement, citizens of the Russian Federation who are holders of valid passports giving the right to cross the border can enter Costa Rica several times without a visa for up to 90 calendar days from the date of entry.

 

 

Also citizens of the Republic of Costa Rica, in turn, may enter Russia without a visa for up to 90 calendar days during each period of 180 calendar days from the date of the first entry.
