President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation during which they highly praised the cultural and humanitarian cooperation between their two nations, the press service of the Kazakh leader reported.
"The work being done to deepen cultural and humanitarian ties received a positive assessment, and the importance of further promoting joint scientific and educational initiatives was also noted," the statement read.
The two leaders also emphasized the steady implementation of existing agreements. According to the report, the heads of state discussed the current state and prospects of the multifaceted Kazakh-Russian relationship in a "traditionally friendly and trusting atmosphere." The presidents expressed satisfaction that the high-level agreements reached during previous meetings are being consistently carried out.
