President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, during a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, emphasized that the prime minister's participation in key events in Kazakhstan underscores the special nature of the relationship between the two nations and their mutual commitment to growth.
"The head of state stressed that Mikhail Mishustin’s involvement in the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council session and the Digital Forum in Shymkent serves as another confirmation of the unique character of Kazakh-Russian relations and the shared desire for their further development," the press service of the President of Kazakhstan reported following the meeting.
The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting and the Digital Qazaqstan 2026 forum are being held in Shymkent on March 26–27. Earlier, Mishustin held detailed talks with his Kazakh counterpart, Olzhas Bektenov, in Astana.
