UAE Named Guest Country for St. Petersburg International Legal Forum 2025

22 April

The United Arab Emirates will be the guest country at the XIII St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF), set to take place from May 19 to 21, 2025. The announcement was made by Armen Khachatryan, Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation, during a joint briefing with Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

This year’s forum will be held under the theme “The Law: Lessons of the Past for the World of the Future.” According to Khachatryan, the theme highlights the importance of law as a cornerstone of the economy and a unifying force that helps nations and societies navigate today’s complex and changing world in pursuit of shared development and prosperity.

“We are delighted to welcome our guest country this year — the United Arab Emirates,” he stated.

Khachatryan also noted that last year’s forum drew over 5,000 participants from 81 countries and featured more than 120 business events with over 700 speakers. “We are confident that this year’s forum will once again attract leading legal, business, and political figures from Russia and abroad,” he added.

Established in 2011, the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum is held with the support of the President of the Russian Federation and is organized by the Russian Ministry of Justice and the Roscongress Foundation.
