Vladimir Putin has ratified an agreement with Tajikistan on recruitment in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on ratification of the intergovernmental agreement with Tajikistan on the organized recruitment of citizens of this Republic for temporary work in Russia. The document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.


The agreement signed on April 17 in Moscow assumes that "the competent authorities of Tajikistan undertake obligations to select candidates for employment with the necessary qualifications and experience, if necessary, will conduct professional training of citizens, to facilitate the examination of the Russian language, the history of Russia and the basics of Russian legislation, to conduct other necessary pre-immigration training, as well as to organize travel to the place of their temporary employment and to assist in the return of migrant workers to the territory of Tajikistan".


The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan will check candidates for employment for their presence in the international or interstate search, as well as for other reasons that prevent them from leaving the country.


The agreement also stipulates mandatory requirements for an employer participating in the organized attraction of migrant workers. Among the main ones are providing migrants with safe working conditions, ensuring labor protection and safety at work; the absence of unremitted violations of labor and migration legislation of the Russian Federation; the absence of accidents at work during the year before the date of expressing a desire to participate in the organized recruitment, as well as the absence of wage arrears.
