Russia and Syria have set up a working group to localize the production of the Russian coronavirus vaccine on Syrian territory, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Defense Management Center (NDMC), said during a meeting of the two countries' interdepartmental coordination headquarters.
"A decision was made to implement a large-scale project to localize the production of Russian vaccines [against the coronavirus] on the territory of Syria. The Russian interagency coordination headquarters has already created a corresponding working group and started its tasks. There is no doubt that together with our Syrian friends we will successfully accomplish this task," said Mizintsev.
