Russia has strongly condemned a missile strike that landed within the perimeter of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran, Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said a briefing.
"We strongly condemn the irresponsible and absolutely unacceptable missile strike carried out against the internal perimeter of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, just meters away from an active power unit," Zakharova stated. "We expect an unequivocal condemnation of this egregious incident by the IAEA. We also count on an appropriate reaction from all responsible and sensible members of the international community, particularly the Persian Gulf states, who would be the first to suffer from any radiological consequences."
