Zakharova Highlights Saudi Arabia as a Key Regional Partner for Russia

12 February

Saudi Arabia stands as a key partner for Russia in the Middle East, according to Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During a recent briefing, she noted that February 19 marks a historic milestone — the centenary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

"Saudi Arabia is a key partner for Russia in the Middle East, with whom we have established a multi-level political dialogue," Zakharova stated. "The tone for this is set, of course, by the leaders of Russia and Saudi Arabia —our President Vladimir Putin, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. Our comprehensive interaction with Riyadh is developing at a rapid pace."
