The FSB stopped a terrorist attack in places of mass gathering in Khabarovsk, which was planned on the instructions of the leaders of international terrorists. This was reported on Friday in the Center for Public Relations (CPR) of the FSB.
"A citizen of one of the Central Asian republics, born in 1988, was detained, who planned to commit a terrorist act using incendiary devices in places of mass congestion on the instructions of the leaders of international terrorists," the FSB reported. In the future, he planned to travel to the war zone in the Middle East to participate in the activities of terrorist groups.
"Ready-to-use Molotov cocktails, cold weapons, and the flag of an international terrorist organization were seized. In the phone of the detainee, a video recording of his so - called oath to the leaders of terrorists and correspondence with the discussion of the planned terrorist attack was found," the special service noted.
The suspect was taken into custody as a preventive measure. A criminal case was opened under part 1 of article 30 and part 1 of article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Preparation for a terrorist act"). Operational search activities and investigative actions are continuing.
