There is a possibility of expansion of Tu-214 and IL-96 production volumes. The current production volumes can be increased without detriment to the state aviation, which also operates these planes, Denis Manturov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, told this to journalists at a briefing.
"There is a possibility of expanding production volumes," he said. - "Machines that are manufactured today at Kazan Aviation Plant (Tu-214 - TASS), they are supplied today mainly to the state aviation. We will keep the format of deliveries to our main customers, but at the same time we are working on an option whereby we can increase the rate of production from today's three planes per year to 10 planes".
