Russian President Vladimir Putin, in his message to the participants, organizers, and guests of the All-Russian Forum "Peoples of Russia," conveyed his belief that any efforts to spread seeds of discord, mistrust, and xenophobia among Russia's diverse population, along with any provocations targeting the nation, will ultimately be unsuccessful.
"I firmly believe that any efforts to foster discord, distrust, and xenophobia among us, as well as any provocations or aggressive actions aimed at Russia, will ultimately be in vain. We are a single people, connected by a shared history, strong bonds of friendship, and mutual understanding," reads the president's telegram, which is available on the Kremlin website.
The true wealth of Russia lies in its diversity of languages, religions, and customs, and, therefore, the state places significant emphasis on preserving the identity of every nation within the country, the president emphasized. He highlighted that ensuring interethnic peace and harmony, and reinforcing Russian culture and traditional values, remain pivotal tasks. The active involvement of religious, public, scientific organizations, and ethno-cultural associations is crucial in this extensive endeavor, the head of state noted.
The president also acknowledged that the "Peoples of Russia" forum has established itself as a reputable platform for in-depth and comprehensive discussions on issues related to implementing state national policies and enhancing their effectiveness. He extended his wishes for success to the participants, organizers, and guests of the forum and congratulated them on the upcoming holiday – the Day of National Unity.
"Peoples of Russia" is an annual, all-Russian forum that has been held since 2020. The forum serves to promote the study and development of mechanisms aimed at strengthening the all-Russian civil identity, unity of the Russian nation, and interethnic peace and harmony. Representatives from all constituent entities of the Russian Federation participate in the forum each year.
