The manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-16 with three crew members of the International Space Station (ISS) landed in the Kazakh steppe, southeast of the city of Zhezkazgan, the broadcasting was held on the Roscosmos website.

Russian cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Wagner, as well as American astronaut Chris Cassidy, returned to Earth from the ISS.

Ivanishin, Wagner and Cassidy were evacuated from the "Soyuz MS-16" spacecraft. Ivanishin was the first to be taken out of the descent vehicle and then the flight engineers Wagner and Cassidy were evacuated.

"Roscosmos cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin, Ivan Wagner and NASA astronaut Christopher Cassidy feel good", the message, published on the Roscosmos Twitter page, reads.

The ship disengaged from the ISS on the night of Thursday at 02:32 Moscow time. Cosmonauts of Roscosmos Sergey Ryzhikov and Sergey Kud-Sverchkov as well as NASA astronaut Kathleen Rubins continue their work at the station.

As TASS was informed by the press-service of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CTC), due to the requirements associated with the pandemic, immediately after returning to Moscow Ivanishin and Wagner will be able to see only those relatives who are not in the risk group and will pass PCR-testing. The CTC specified that children under 12 years of age and parents of cosmonauts over 65 years of age will be admitted to the crew "after an acute period of rehabilitation [by the cosmonauts], it is five or seven days".

Leak on the ISS

Ivanishin and Wagner conducted scientific experiments on the ISS, and since August they have been searching for the place of air leakage from the station. On the morning of October 15, Ivanishin reported to the Earth that a possible place of leakage was found in an intermediate chamber of Russian module "Zvezda" with the help of a teabag. According to the astronauts, the reason of leakage could be a crack and later it was sealed with temporary means.

A source told TASS that the leak would be finally liquidated after the landing of the  Soyuz MS-16.
