The requirement to use masks is being lifted in Adygea, while the regime of high readiness for coronavirus remains, the government of the republic has reported.
"According to the decree of the head of the Republic of Adygea, the region suspends some regulations on restrictions imposed earlier in connection with the mass spread of new coronavirus infection COVID-19. Wearing masks in places of mass gathering becomes voluntary", the report reads. At the same time, recommendations to wear masks in places of mass gathering to residents over 60 years old remain in force.
"The regime of high readiness is maintained. The operative measures for preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the territory of the Republic of Adygeya are still functioning," the government added.
It is also specified that recommendations to employers to provide employees who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 with two additional paid days off remain in force.
A mandatory mask regime was introduced in Adygea in spring 2020.
