Chechnya temporarily closed for tourists

Tourists will be temporarily banned from entering the Chechen Republic in order not to provoke an outbreak of COVID-19.

 

"The operational headquarters for countering the spread of the coronavirus infection decided to temporarily ban the entry of guests and tourists to the territory of the Republic, This measure was taken to prevent the spread of viral infection in the region and preserve the life and health of citizens. The opening of the season for tourists and guests may provoke an outbreak of disease, so we hope for your understanding and support, " -  the head of the Republican  of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Idris Cherkhigov wrote in his Instagram account.

 

Earlier, the head of Chechnya announced the beginning of the third stage of lifting restrictions imposed because of the coronavirus. In particular, the regime of self-isolation and restrictions on movement within the region were lifted, as well as the worl of cafes, hotels, banquet halls for celebrations and mosques were resumed. In addition, the authorities canceled the 14-day quarantine for visitors with a certificate of the absence of coronavirus or the presence of antibodies.

 

According to the Department of Rospotrebnadzor, in Chechnya, as of July 14, 1851 cases of coronavirus were confirmed, 28 people died.
