Kadyrov allowed to hold wedding banquets in Chechnya

Banquet halls that were closed at the end of March due to the spread of the coronavirus have resumed work in Chechnya for wedding celebrations.


"Taking into account the positive dynamics, I decided to open banquet halls for wedding celebrations in compliance with social distancing measures. The number of seats and tables in such places should be reduced by half,"  the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said on his page in the social network "Vkontakte".


According to him, there is a positive dynamics in the fight against the coronavirus infection in the Republic. According to the operational headquarters, 9 cases of infection have been detected over the past day, 550 people are currently ill, a total of 1,795 have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,220 of them have been cured. Medical institutions have medicines, free beds and necessary equipment, the head of the region added.


On June 21, Kadyrov announced the beginning of the third stage of lifting restrictions in the Republic imposed because of the coronavirus, the access regime and restrictions on movement within the region were canceled. The borders of Chechnya have been closed since April 5 for entry and exit due to coronavirus, with the exception of transit transport and food supplies.
