Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said that Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded him the Order of Alexander Nevsky for his contribution to the socio-economic development of the region.
"On the proposal of Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, I was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky by presidential decree for my great contribution to the socio-economic development of the Chechen Republic and the effective solution of tasks of great national importance," the head of the republic wrote in his Telegram-channel.
He added that he pledged to continue to serve selflessly for the good of the republic. "I am most honored to receive an award from the president of Russia. I thank Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin for his trust and constant attention to the development of our region! For myself personally, I take the award as an advance pay, I pledge to continue to serve selflessly in the best interests of the Chechen Republic and our great Motherland - Russia," Kadyrov said.
