The Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov called on residents of the Republic to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families, observing the rules of self-isolation in connection with the coronavirus. He wrote about this on his VK page.

"I urge all residents of the Chechen Republic to celebrate Eid al-Fitr at home, without visiting their relatives and friends. The regime of self-isolation continues, " the message reads, in particular.

According to the Chechen leader, the regional operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus and the muftiat are similar in their decision that every family should celebrate the holiday at home, in self-isolation.

"The risk of infection during the celebration is too high. The only way to prevent the spread of the coronavirus is to exclude contacts between people, " Kadyrov said.

In Chechnya, according to the latest data, 986 cases of the coronavirus were registered, 612 people were discharged after recovery, 11 died.

Since March, the Republic has been in a self-isolation regime, and residents are forbidden to go out without necessity. All restaurants, cafes, entertainment centers and shops, except for stores with essential goods, are closed. Control at the borders of the region is also tightened.
