The Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov Regional Public Foundation is holding a charity event "the Blessing of the fasting" in Palestine. This was announced by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov on his page in the VK.
"More than 10,000 needy Palestinian families will receive food aid. At the moment, the volunteers have already received food from the Foundation and started distributing it. Thousands of families were able to break fast in this Holy month of Ramadan. The campaign is being held with the active support of the President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas' Assistance Fund," the head of the Republic said in a statement.
In addition, the Kadyrov Foundation will allocate 250 million rubles for low-income and hard-pressed families of the Chechen Republic in the month of Ramadan and will purchase kits with medicines for COVID-19 patients with mild or asymptomatic forms of the disease, who can be treated at home.
Fasting in Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. In this month, the faithful are ordered to refrain from eating, drinking, bad words and thoughts in the daytime, and instead - to pray diligently, engage in God-pleasing activities and charity.
