The plane from the UAE arrived in Grozny with medical assistance to fight the coronavirus. According to Prime Minister of the Republic Muslim Khuchiev, personal protective equipment and 20 thousand tests were delivered to Chechnya.
"Thanks to the fraternal relations of the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov with the leadership of the UAE, we received a cargo to fight the coronavirus, which includes protective equipment, tests and medicines. A similar cargo will arrive on June 3 in Dagestan, " the head of the Chechen government said in particular.
The agreement to provide assistance to the Chechen Republic and Dagestan was reached during a telephone conversation between the head of the region, Ramzan Kadyrov, and the crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. According to Khuchiev, on the plane that arrived from the UAE, Chechnya will send a return cargo to the Emirates.
"The Chechen Republic will send humanitarian cargo weighing 30 tons on two flights from Grozny and Makhachkala on the funds of the Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov Foundation as a sign of brotherhood and friendship. Assistance includes fresh meat, fruit and other products," Khuchiev added.
In Chechnya, according to the latest data, 1,247 cases of coronavirus infection were detected, 828 people recovered, and 13 died.
