Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, in the Kremlin on Wednesday. Among other issues, they also touched on topics related to the work of law enforcement officials, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
"Last night, Putin received Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, in the Kremlin," the spokesman said. According to him, the conversation discussed "in the applied meaning of economic affairs, issues of socio-economic development of the republic."
"Kadyrov came with specific topics on economic projects, they were discussed. Among other things, topics related to the work of law enforcement agencies were touched upon," Peskov specified.
On Thursday, the press service of the head and government of Chechnya reported that Kadyrov reported to Putin on the socio-economic situation in the republic at a meeting in Moscow.
