Ramzan Kadyrov and the King of Bahrain discussed the fight against the coronavirus

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov held telephone talks with the King of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa. According to the Chechen leader, the parties discussed measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus infection.


"We exchanged congratulations on the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan. Hamad II noted that he is closely monitoring the epidemiological situation in the Chechen Republic. He highly assessed our measures to combat COVID-19, as well as charitable actions to help residents of the Republic and neighboring regions of the Russian Federation, " Kadyrov wrote, adding that effective measures are being taken in Bahrain to combat the coronavirus.


"The country has the lowest number of infected and dead in the Arabian Peninsula. This is, of course, the result of Hamad II's timely, thoughtful and decisive actions. The king assured that he is ready to provide assistance in connection with the pandemic," the Chechen leader said.


In Chechnya, according to the latest data, 705 cases of the  coronavirus infection were detected, 328 people recovered, and 8 died.
